Accounting Manager

Location: Antwerp or Amsterdam

Experience: 6+ years of experience in accounting, financial control, or audit and 2+ years of people management experience

Own financial control and help drive scalable growth. 

 We built Loop by going all in from day one. You’ll own our General Ledger, financial reporting, and control environment under BE GAAP, leading and developing the full GL operations team across month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and audit readiness. You set the standard for how we close, control, and communicate our numbers.  If you are ready to bring structure, consistency, and control to a fast-growing environment, this is where you do it. 

 

The role 

You step into ownership. You move fast and take responsibility for what you build. You focus on work that matters, not on noise that slows things down. 

As Accounting Manager, you are accountable for the accuracy, compliance, and scalability of Loop’s financial control environment. You lead end-to-end month-end and year-end close, own statutory and audit processes, strengthen internal controls, and build a structured, high-performing GL team that can support our next stage of growth. 

 

What you’ll do (and what you won’t) 

  • You own end-to-end General Ledger operations and financial statement integrity
  • You make decisions based on signal, not volume — and stand behind the number
  • You collaborate closely with FP&A, tax, finance leadership, and external auditors
  • You build processes, controls, and systems that scale as complexity grows
  • You don’t wait for endless approvals before closing gaps or raising risks
  • You don’t hide behind processes when ownership is required
  • You don’t cruise quietly in the background — you elevate standards across the team 

 

How you’ll succeed 

We look for people who think big, stay curious, and aren’t afraid to go all in to make things happen. You’ll deliver consistent, on-time closes, increase confidence in P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting, strengthen reconciliations and review discipline, and build an audit-ready, scalable control environment within your first year. 

 

What you’ll bring 

  • You bring at least 6+ years of experience in accounting, financial control, or audit and 2+ years of people management experience
  • You have proven ownership of a full GL function and external audit processes (BE GAAP preferred)
  • You have experience leading and developing accounting professionals
  • You work independently and know when to involve others
  • You’re comfortable with change and ambiguity in a scaling environment
  • You know when work is ready to ship — and when it needs tighter control
  • You want your work to matter
