Accounts Payable Lead

Salary: £30-35k per annum

Location: Maidenhead (Office Based), Full time, Permanent.

As AP Lead you will work alongside our experienced finance team and have a variety of tasks including:

Key Accountabilities

  • Processing c.100 invoices / credit notes a day in our bespoke in-house built ERP, including PO matching and importing them to the Sage Intact accounting system.
  • Processing non-PO invoices directly onto Sage Intact.
  • Ensure all invoices are matched & coded correctly, with appropriate authorisation from relevant Managers.
  • Download, check and post invoices directly from supplier portals, where applicable.
  • Ownership of payment runs weekly payment runs
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Monthly credit card reconciliations including journal postings.
  • Creation of new supplier accounts.
  • Manage the PO Invoice WIP.
  • Full ownership of aged creditors.
  • Manage the suppliers returns process.
  • Deal with a high volume of emails/calls in a timely manner.
  • Use their knowledge and experience to quickly resolve queries.
  • Review and recommend processes to create efficiency.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills And Experience

  • 5+ years accounts payable experience in a B2B SME environment is essential.
  • Good Knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Experience of processing high invoice volumes.
  • Knowledge of Sage Intact
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Organised and results orientated.
  • Good problem-solving skills, pragmatic and an ability to deal with some ambiguity.
  • Work closely as a team but are equally able to work effectively and proactively on their own.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Have good Microsoft Office skills.
