Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform regular account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work closely with project managers, finance team members, and relevant internal and external stakeholders to address billing, collection, and reporting matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, and contribute to month-end close activities, including reporting and reconciliation tasks.
  • Support broader accounting and reporting processes as required, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal controls.
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Receivable and wider finance functions.
  • Manage weekly timesheet processes, including follow-up of outstanding submissions and timely closure of timesheet periods.
  • Provide support and back-up for the Expense Management System (EMS), including monitoring submissions and assisting users as needed.
  • Manage end-to-end invoicing for assigned business units, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual and billing requirements.

And the practical experience and skills required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting, or relevant experience in a finance administration role such as Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable.
  • Experience working with mid to large ERP systems, with strong capability in Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy, with a consistent commitment to high-quality financial outcomes.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to queries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process- and system-oriented mindset, with a natural curiosity to investigate root causes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience in a professional services or consulting environment will be highly regarded.
