Hillel Ontario is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Advocacy Engagement Coordinator to join the local campus team at Hillel UofT. This role focuses on advancing Hillel Ontario’s advocacy strategy by coordinating and implementing campus-level initiatives, cultivating relationships with students, and managing advocacy-related issues proactively and reactively. The role will also build on the current student leadership model by identifying, engaging, and developing new student leaders to strengthen and expand campus impact.

Our ideal candidate is outgoing, creative, and highly engaging, with a strong Jewish and Israel background. You are a self-starter, capable multitasker, and skilled at building relationships with students, partners, and colleagues. You excel at translating strategic goals into tangible programs, organizing impactful campus events, supporting students, and inspiring their commitment to Jewish life.
A vibrant, academically driven community at University of Toronto, where students are highly motivated and deeply engaged in their academic and professional development. They bring a strong sense of purpose and ambition to their campus involvement, often balancing rigorous studies with research, internships, and leadership pursuits. The community is home to a diverse student population, including a large commuter base from across the Greater Toronto Area, as well as students living on and around campus. Staff work closely with students who are not only high-achieving, but also warm, curious, and eager to engage.
The team consists of three full-time staff members who collaborate closely to support and engage this intellectually curious student population, facilitating nuanced conversations and fostering a dynamic, relationship-driven Jewish campus community.
