AI Automation Lead

We’re hiring an AI Automation Lead to help EQT replace manual work with intelligent automation. Starting in the procurement and vendor domain, you’ll identify high-impact opportunities across the digital workplace and lead the design and deployment of AI agents and automation to transform how we work.

About the Digital Employee Experience team

The Digital Experience (DEX) team sits within EQT’s Technology department and focuses on enabling smarter, more connected ways of working. We combine design thinking, platform strategy, and intelligent automation to improve collaboration, reduce complexity, and elevate the work experience for EQT teams globally.

About the role

This role exists to accelerate EQT’s use of automation and agentic AI — to reduce manual work, improve transparency, and drive digital scale. You’ll start by focusing on the procurement and vendor management domain, building AI-enabled workflows that streamline assurance, evidence collection, and vendor lifecycle operations. From there, you’ll expand to other high-friction areas across the DEX landscape.

You will be hands-on with strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders and partners to turn complex processes into scalable, auditable automations. Your success depends on execution, clarity of ownership, and your ability to transform work through smart technology.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and prioritize manual workflows in the DEX space that are ready for automation or AI enablement.
• Design and deploy intelligent agents to handle process orchestration, control testing, evidence collection, and other repeatable tasks.
• Deliver high-impact automation projects, starting in procurement and vendor operations.
• Ensure all automated workflows meet EQT standards for auditability, traceability, and risk control.
• Partner with system owners, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Security to align automation with policies and expectations.
• Collaborate with external partners and gradually internalize automation capability within EQT.
• Communicate clearly about scope, risks, and impact to enable trust and adoption.

What success looks like in the first 12–24 months

• Automated vendor assurance and monitoring reduce manual effort by 60% or more.
• Core procurement workflows are simplified and AI-enabled, with fewer handoffs and clearer ownership.
• EQT’s automation platform expands from rule-based tasks to intelligent, agent-driven flows.
• Internal capability begins to own and maintain AI agents without external consultants.
• Automation use cases expand beyond procurement into workplace collaboration and document processes.

Scope and interfaces

• In scope: Automation of processes in DEX, starting with procurement and vendor workflows.
• Out of scope: Direct vendor management or ownership of procurement budgets.
• Key interfaces: Digital Workplace, Procurement, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Security.

About you

You are thoughtful, curious, and delivery-focused. You’re excited about applying automation and AI in ways that make people’s work lives simpler and more scalable. You’re comfortable starting small, building trust, and showing results quickly — while always keeping risk and governance in mind.

Essential skills and experience:

• Proven experience in automation platforms (e.g., Workato, UiPath, or similar), workflow design, or process transformation.
• Experience deploying intelligent agents or AI-powered automations in real-world settings.
• Strong understanding of auditability, explainability, and compliance in automation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
• Clear communicator with a structured, outcome-oriented mindset.
