AI Product Engineer (all genders) | Intermediate Level | Location Spain (Working from Home) | Full Time (40h/week)

Your Impact
As an AI Product Engineer (all genders) at eduki, you help us build the future of teaching by creating a feature-rich, AI-driven workspace for educational material development that empowers teachers worldwide. Here are the key tasks and responsibilities that you will be taking on to achieve this goal:
- Agentic AI Development: You will design, build, and iterate on multi-step AI agent workflows, from automated content generation pipelines to tool-using systems, that solve real problems for teachers at scale.
- Architectural Decision-Making: For every desired outcome you will evaluate the technology stack, choosing the optimal models and orchestration approach, and determining how to best leverage retrieval, tools, and structured outputs to get reliable results.
- Knowledge Multiplier: You will act as the AI competency hub for the team, documenting learnings, running internal knowledge-sharing sessions, and making it easy for colleagues across engineering and product to build confidently on top of AI systems.
- Rapid Prototyping & Innovation: You will proactively prototype new agent architectures and workflows, staying at the cutting edge so eduki's tools do too.
Your Skills and Expertise
We are searching for a technically-minded AI Product Engineer (all genders) who is passionate about the intersection of Generative AI and education. Furthermore, you should check the following boxes:
- You have hands-on experience building agentic AI systems, including multi-step pipelines, tool use, RAG, or orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar.
- You possess strong prompting fundamentals and the analytical mindset to systematically evaluate and refine prompts and workflows to achieve reliable, structured results.
- You have a solid backend foundation, especially in Python, and are comfortable turning a prototype into something a team can build on.
- You thrive in collaborative environments and actively share what you learn, through documentation, internal demos, or pair-working with engineers and PMs.
- You are a confident communicator in English and enjoy working in a distributed, international team.
- Nice-to-Have: Background in Educational Science, experience with evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs, or front-end skills (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript).
Please note: Due to legal restrictions, we can only hire candidates living in and owning a valid work permit for Spain. eduki is a registered employer in Spain, and you will receive a direct work contract with us according to Spanish work law.
Our Commitment to You
Attractive Compensation Package: The total compensation for this role is up to 47.900 EUR per year and consists of a fixed salary and a VSOP (Virtual Stock Options Program) package. Depending on your skills and competencies, as well as your individual performance, the gross annual salary will range between 32.100 EUR and 39.300 EUR.

Furthermore, you can work from abroad for up to 90 days per year with us!
