[ANZ] Financial Accountant

As the Financial Accountant, you will be a core member of the financial reporting team, driving month-end closing processes to safeguard the company's financials. This role is based in Sydney and reports to the ANZ Accounting Lead.

You will…

• Play a critical role in month-end close procedures, including preparing journals and completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain monthly reconciliations and collaborate across finance and non-finance functions to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform weekly bank reconciliations to ensure the company’s cash position is accurately recorded and investigated.
• Manage capital expenditure and maintenance for all fixed assets across ANZ offices and distribution centres.
• Execute monthly intercompany recharges between ANZ entities and Head Office in compliance with Transfer Pricing policies.
• Recommend ways to improve efficiency within the month-end close and day-to-day finance operations.
• Assist with half-year and year-end audit processes, providing support for financial statement preparation and auditor queries.

You have…

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and are a Part Qualified CPA/CA.
• Working knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts and statutory reporting standards.
• Previous experience working within a fast-paced business environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience managing large data sets.
• Exposure to ERP systems and a keen interest in financial systems.

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
