More about the role:

Burson is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Account Executive candidate to join our Energy & Industrials team, with a focus on power, utilities and renewable energy. This is an opportunity to be a part of a team supporting clients across the highly dynamic energy spectrum and industrial space. We are looking for candidates with excellent written and oral communication skills, curiosity, client relationship-building skills, and a passion for the energy sector who can deliver results. This person must be detailed-oriented, resourceful, and able to multi-task and prioritize under deadlines. This person also must possess B2B power sector knowledge and experience and/or a strong aptitude, curiosity and passion for climbing a steep learning curve. If you are an eager and multi-talented PR professional that enjoys an entrepreneurial fast-paced work environment and with the opportunity to grow professionally, we want to speak with you.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and manage media lists and project trackers
  • Identify media opportunities and conduct media outreach
  • Monitor for industry trends and media coverage and develop recap reports
  • Support crisis management and monitoring
  • Collaborate across several key client account teams

Experience that contributes to success:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of internship experience, agency preferred, with focus on power industry
  • Undergraduate degree in energy-related field or Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related studies
  • Must have strong writing, media, and research skills, social media content writing experience is a bonus
  • Experience with media monitoring, creating media lists, and media reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinker and self-starter capable of "managing up" to senior members across the agency.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with excellent time and project-management skills
  • Results-focused approach and willingness to go the extra mile
  • Driven by curiosity, with self-awareness to ask questions
  • Desire to work in a diverse and inclusive organization as an active participant in culture initiatives, training opportunities and employee resource groups

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between:
$35,000—$75,000 USD
