Hillel JUC is seeking dynamic, thoughtful and experienced candidates for the position of Assistant Director. The Assistant Director is a key member of the senior professional team responsible for implementing Hillel’s strategic vision of Jewish life on campus. This person works closely with the Executive Director (ED) and all Hillel JUC staff and is responsible for managing, guiding and supporting the student-facing Jewish student life (JSL) team. In addition, the AD will be responsible for the engagement and community building goals across two campuses, University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, as well as managing and approving the holistic programming budget.

The Hillel Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh (Hillel JUC) is a multi-campus Hillel that serves an estimated 2,000 undergraduate students at the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and other local colleges and universities. Our 12,500 sq. foot building located at the meeting point between Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh is a hub for Jewish activities seven days a week. Our goal is to engage every Jewish student on campus through a wide range of meaningful Jewish experiences and communities.
