Overview:
As a Associate Software Engineer in a product development organization, you will be part of the team that designs and develops SAP applications in the enterprise domain, leveraging AI tooling. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and other software developers for developing product features. You are expected to be hands-on in SAP ABAP and up to date with the latest SAP development technologies such as SAP ABAP Cloud, BTP, Clean core, SAP Functional configurations ( combination of FI -Finance / MM – Materials Management / SD – Sales Distribution / CO – Controlling / PP – Production Planning / HR – Human Resources ) , SAP server technical architectures for On-premise ( like ECC 6 / S/4 HANA 2020-25 ) , Private Cloud , Public Cloud ( S/4 HANA public cloud 2502. Microsoft Copilot, Claude MCP).
What you will do:.
- Code Development along with using AI copilot / AI platforms.
- Coordinate with technical staff to understand problems with software, SAP functional, SAP server and resolve them Independently, and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Design of SAP Applications leveraging SAP functional and SAP server architectures for On-premises, private cloud, public cloud.
- Performing code reviews and assisting in improving engineering processes and development of software user manuals benefitting from faster productivity of AI.
- Improving the quality of code & working on Non-Functional Requirements such as Performance, Scalability, Reliability, sap server configuration, leveraging AI tooling.
- Participate / own technical designs, constructively suggesting, and receiving ideas & feedback for solutions.
- Collaborate with other team members for SAP configuration and work with cross-functional teams as required.
What we are looking for:
- BE/BTech/MCA/Equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from an accredited university or college.
- 1 to 2 Years of software industry experience and a successful track record of product development in SAP technologies.
- Minimum 1 year of SAP ABAP with SAP Functional combination of SAP (FI / MM / SD / CO / PP/ HR) , SAP BASIS.
- Good understanding of Design Patterns and Architectural Patterns and hands-on experience in applying them in day-to-day design.
- Experience using an AI assistant for software design, development, test processes, in an IDE/terminal (Copilot/Agent mode, Claude Code, Copilot CLI). So as to accelerate (scaffold, refactor, generate tests), while, reviewing output, adding constraints, and explanation of choices in end to end product development lifecycle.
- Experience in developing & consuming ABAP Cloud APIs in building scalable, modern Web applications. Exposure to BTP, ABAP cloud, clean core is preferred.
- Familiar with AWS & Azure and security domain is preferred.
