About this role

As a BI Developer, you will design, build and maintain business intelligence solutions that help universities make data‑informed decisions. Working in the BI & Reporting team, you will create dashboards, data models and analytics applications using the latest Qlik Cloud technologies, ensuring solution are reliable, insightful and easy for users to navigate. Collaborate with colleagues across Product, Data Engineering, Consulting Services and the BI Manager to understand reporting needs, translate requirements into technical solutions and support the continuous improvement of our analytics products.

As a BI Developer, you will:

  • Design and develop BI dashboards and analytics applications using Qlik Sense and related tools.
  • Build and maintain data models, data loads and transformation scripts.
  • Translate business and product requirements into clear, scalable reporting solutions.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications to ensure accuracy, performance and usability.
  • Validate and test data to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to optimise data pipelines and integration processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting or data issues raised by users.
  • Contribute to documentation, data definitions and knowledge‑sharing resources.
  • Support continuous improvement in development practices, including performance optimisation and visual design.

You have:

  • Strong academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or similar.
  • years working with BI tools, ideally including Qlik Sense.
  • Experience building interactive dashboards and data visualisations.
  • Strong SQL capability, including data modelling and transformation.
  • Experience working with SQL databases and large datasets.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and analytics architecture.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Qlik Sense Developer Certification (advantage but not required)
