We are looking for a “Waiter with the qualifications below:
Qualifications:
- Ability to work well under the pressure of coordinating many requests at any given time
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays if necessary
- Knowledge of POS device
- Service knowledge
- Spoken and written fluency in English
Job Description:
- Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any
- Suggest food and beverages to the guests and also try to up-sell
- Take food and beverage orders from the guests on the order taking pads
- Making sure that the order is correct by repeating them to the guests
- Entering the food and beverage in our Micros System
- Mise-en-Place / adhering to the duties check-lists
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor/manager
- Filling in for absent staff as needed
- Communicate to the guests and provide assistance with their queries
- Coordinate with different departments (i.e. bar/kitchen etc.) to ensure smooth operation and guests satisfaction
- Promptly respond to the guests with any additional requests
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Is aware of allergy procedure
- Is familiar with all tasting-notes from all menu items (food and beverage)
- Help other areas of the restaurant when needed
- Is familiar with the waiter-cashing out procedure
- Making sure that a proper handover has been done before leaving the shift
