This role is ideal for a consulting‑minded professional who excels at entering unstructured or high‑pressure finance environments, quickly diagnosing what’s not working, designing thoughtful solutions, and leading hands‑on execution alongside clients. Our CFO Advisory team partners closely with finance leaders, boards, and audit committees during periods of growth, transformation, and transaction activity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex client engagements, serving as the primary point of contact for CFOs, Controllers, and executive stakeholders
  • Enter ambiguous or high-pressure finance environments to assess challenges across people, processes, data, and systems
  • Provide strategic financial leadership, including serving in interim roles such as Head of Finance or Controller when needed
  • Diagnose root-cause issues and translate them into clear, pragmatic, and executable solutions
  • Oversee and deliver engagements across key Office of the CFO service areas, including:
    • Transaction readiness and execution support (buy-side and sell-side)
    • Finance advisory and transformation (process redesign, standardization, optimization)
    • Financial reporting improvements (management, external, and board-level)
  • Advise CFOs and executive teams on board and audit committee communications, financial reporting readiness, and audit processes
  • Own engagement delivery, including scope, timelines, economics, and client satisfaction
  • Lead and mentor Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates, fostering team development and performance
  • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based client relationships, identifying opportunities for expansion
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal development, solution design, and thought leadership
  • Play an active role in shaping and scaling the CFO Advisory practice

Education & Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in CFO Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Management Consulting, Finance Transformation, FP&A leadership, or Public Accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • CPA or Master’s degree (MBA, MAcc, or MS in Finance) required
  • Strong foundation in accounting, finance operations, and financial reporting
  • Demonstrated experience advising CFOs and executive stakeholders on complex finance initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-workstream client engagements and manage engagement economics
  • Experience developing and mentoring team members at multiple levels
  • Track record of contributing to client growth, business development, or practice building
