The Role

The Chief Delivery Officer is a member of UDig's Executive Leadership Team and one of the most consequential roles in the company.

You will build and lead UDig's delivery organization through a pivotal moment: the shift to AI-augmented teams, sharper product thinking, and a delivery model that scales without losing what makes us different. Practice Leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics report to you. You develop them into operators who run their practices with autonomy, commercial awareness, and high standards — and who rarely need to escalate.

In partnership with the CTO and Practice Leaders, you will evolve how UDig delivers. The CTO sets technical direction and engineering rigor. Practice Leaders own execution within their disciplines. You make it scale across all of them.

This is a builder's role. The structure you create, the leaders you develop, and the standards you hold will shape UDig's next chapter.

What You Will Own

Executive Leadership

  • Sit on the Executive Leadership Team and own delivery as a business function
  • Partner with the CEO on company direction; own execution within delivery
  • Represent delivery in pipeline alignment, resourcing decisions, and strategic planning

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and develop Practice Leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, and Analytics
  • Build leaders who run engagements without executive intervention
  • Create a client-obsessed delivery culture grounded in professionalism and accountability
  • Remove the ambiguity that slows teams down

AI-First Delivery Model

  • Champion and advance UDig's AI-augmented delivery model in partnership with the CTO and Practice Leaders
  • Build smaller, sharper teams focused on outcomes — not headcount
  • Ensure what we sell can be delivered well, consistently
  • Balance speed with discipline as AI changes what's possible

Client Experience

  • Protect and deepen trust in anchor accounts
  • Surface issues early and act decisively
  • Ensure clients experience consistency — not just when things go well

Organizational Connectivity

  • Act as the hub between frontline delivery and executive strategy
  • Keep information flowing both directions with context and clarity
  • Partner with Growth on pipeline-to-delivery alignment
  • Partner with Operations on resourcing, utilization, and commercial health

Scale

  • Grow delivery capacity without adding unnecessary layers
  • Strengthen commercial discipline inside delivery leadership

What We're Looking For

You have led delivery at scale in consulting, professional services, or digital product environments. You have directly managed senior leaders and built teams that operate independently. You understand the economics of delivery — utilization, margin, staffing ratios — and you use that understanding to make better decisions, not to build bureaucracy.

You are genuinely excited about AI-augmented delivery. Not as a talking point — as a competitive edge you want to help build.

You are steady under pressure, commercially sharp, and deeply client-focused. You translate naturally between the people closest to the work and the executive team. You keep leaders informed without creating overhead.

Experience

  • 10+ years in consulting, professional services, or digital product delivery
  • 5+ years in senior leadership, including direct management of Practice or Capability Leaders
  • Track record of scaling delivery without building unnecessary layers
  • Experience leading or evolving AI-augmented delivery models is a strong plus

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, Practice Leaders operate with clarity and ownership. Clients experience consistency. Issues surface early and get resolved. The delivery organization feels like a team — not a collection of accounts.
