We are seeking a Clay Consultant - GTM Engineer to redesign and build our AI-powered pipeline and SDR infrastructure. This is a 6-month contract (monthly retainer) focused on replacing manual workflows with automated, scalable systems and enabling RevOps ownership.
This is a hands-on builder role you will spend the majority of your time executing within tools and systems, not creating strategy decks.
What you'll do:
1. Design the SDR Operating System
- Define the end-to-end SDR workflow (targeting → qualification → outreach → handoff)
- Partner with SDR leadership to ensure alignment with real rep workflows
- Establish a scalable foundation for automation
2. Build Automated Pipeline Infrastructure
- Develop a Clay-powered target identification engine to source and prioritize hit list accounts daily
- Implement automated account enrichment
- Ensure seamless Salesforce integration (read/write, deduplication, hygiene)
3. Enable AI-Driven Outreach
- Build sequence infrastructure and messaging frameworks
- Implement AI-powered personalization at scale using Clay + LLMs
- Automate triggering of sequences based on enriched signals
4. Optimize & Iterate
- Measure workflow performance and pipeline impact
- Run experiments and continuously improve system outputs
- Treat the system as a product with a backlog
5. Document & Handoff
- Fully document workflows, data sources, and logic
- Train RevOps to own and maintain the system
- Ensure long-term sustainability beyond the engagement
What you have:
- Proven experience building Clay workflows (portfolio required)
- Experience with data sourcing tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce as a data layer
- Hands-on experience with automation platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier)
- Experience supporting enterprise SDR/BDR teams
- Deep understanding of SDR workflows at the rep level
- Ability to document systems and enable handoff to internal teams
- Background in adtech, martech, or SaaS GTM environments
- Experience working with LLM APIs for enrichment or scoring
- Experience supporting enterprise / “whale hunting” sales motions
- Familiarity with data hygiene, deduplication, and scaling Salesforce data quality
