The Opportunity: Optimize Customs Operations for Our Clients
Flexport is expanding rapidly, with over 3,000 employees across 14+ locations worldwide and we’re just getting started.
To support our fast-paced revenue growth, we are searching for a Customs Network Coordinator to join our dynamic Customs Team. This role is ideal for dedicated, detail-driven professionals eager to build a lasting career in international trade. You will collaborate with top logistics experts to disrupt traditional methods and make global trade as seamless as possible.
You will:
- Verify the data and information needed for international customs clearance.
- Digitally prepare documentation required to customs clear goods to various partners across EMEA
- Oversee both inbound and outbound shipments for a diverse client base utilizing Flexport Customs app.
- Adopt a customer-first approach to collaborate actively with clients and manage their expectations.
- Maintain accurate digital records and organize all inbound shipment documents.
- Review client-provided product classifications and offer strategic, actionable advice.
- Spot opportunities to apply Preferential Trade Agreements on individual shipments.
- Deliver top-tier customer service to build strong, working relationships and act as a trusted trade consultant.
- Process client billing and invoices using our proprietary internal software.
You should have:
- 0–2 years of customs experience, ideally with hands-on declaration work. Knowledge of the EU tariff and product classification is a major advantage.
- Capacity for volume: The ability to handle high workloads with both speed and precision.
- Core skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities to navigate complex client issues.
- Customer dedication: A commitment to client success and a highly customer-centric attitude.
- Proactive drive: The initiative to fix inefficient workflows and rethink standard industry procedures.
- Tech-savviness: Strong digital skills to thrive in our entirely paperless environment.
