You Are:
AFS is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Engineer/Security Architect to join a mission‑focused team supporting federal government clients across the Public Sector Portfolio. This role provides expert‑level network security architecture, design, and implementation services while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of emerging cyber threat intelligence, secure cloud infrastructure, secure AI integration, and leadership of high‑performing teams in DevSecOps environments.

The Work:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network and cybersecurity architectures for federal government clients.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure all security requirements are fully addressed.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay current on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
  • Present security solutions, assessments, and recommendations to client stakeholders.
  • Partner with strategic OEMs to deliver tailored solutions for Public Safety clients.
  • Develop and deliver Assessments of Alternatives (AoAs) with vendor‑specific data to support client product selection.

Here's What You Need:

  • Minimum 15+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience delivering innovative technical solutions to federal clients.
  • Experience with Federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands‑on expertise in network security architecture and secure cloud/hybrid infrastructure implementation.
  • Strong experience in anomaly detection and analysis of emerging threats across networks, operating systems, mobile devices, and critical infrastructure systems
  • Ability to evaluate commercial cyber products and provide recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of Federal OEMs, routes to market, and channel programs (Distribution, VARs, Cloud Service Providers, MSPs, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record designing and implementing security solutions for complex environments.
  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
  • Experience creating cyber go‑to‑market strategies to accelerate federal growth.
  • Broad network and relationships across the federal ecosystem.
  • Experience with key strategic federal programs (TIC 2.2/3.0, CDM, JCDC, PDNS, HIRT).
  • Experience with federal guidance including M‑21‑23, M‑21‑07, and M‑22‑09.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
$172,400—$360,800 USD
