Data Analyst (Agrarian Service sphere)

Company Background

Our client is a U.S.-based service corporation within the Farm Credit System. It provides managed back-office, technology, accounting, data, cloud and infrastructure, and cybersecurity services to Farm Credit institutions, mainly in the AgriBank district. Founded in 2020, the company helps organizations modernize their operations and replace legacy systems, including loan servicing, general ledger, financial reporting, analytics, and collateral management platforms.

Project Description

The goal of the project is to migrate the existing Data Warehouse to the cloud. The current solution is built on legacy applications, including AQT. The client aims to modernize the technology stack and transition to industry-standard tools and platforms.

What You'll Do

• Gather and clarify requirements from data analysts and review historical defects;
• Develop and maintain validation models using DBT;
• Create basic visualizations in Databricks Dashboards to support validation models;
• Investigate data issues, analyze failures, and report findings to the team;

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience;
• Strong SQL skills and experience with cloud-based data analytics platforms;
• Understanding of data modeling concepts, including Kimball methodology, dimensions, and fact tables;
• Hands-on experience with Python;
• Experience with DBT (getdbt.com) or another macro-driven language;
• Understanding of how data warehouses operate is a strong advantage;
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar task management tools;

Nice to Have

• Experience with data validation frameworks such as Great Expectations or similar tools;
• Background in automated data quality assurance and maintaining workflow systems;
• Ability to validate sensitive or non-directly accessible data (e.g., PII) using logical inferences and collaboration with stakeholders;
• Willingness to refactor and optimize processes to improve execution time on a регуляр basis;
