What you will do in this role 🧐

As a Data Scientist (AI), you’ll operate at the heart of Sendcloud’s Intelligence & Automation engine. You don’t just report on data; you build the models that power our future. In this role, you will design and deploy scalable machine learning solutions and AI-driven architectures that automate decision-making across the company. You’ll turn raw data into autonomous, high-impact business logic by leveraging LLMs for internal efficiency

You are naturally curious and stay ahead of the AI curve. You explore data beyond the surface, identifying where automation can replace manual bottlenecks. With deep technical expertise in the AI stack and clear communication skills, you bridge the gap between complex algorithmic logic and business value—translating technical "black boxes" into transparent, high-impact solutions for stakeholders.

You take ownership of the full ML lifecycle. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you drive initiatives from discovery to production, focusing on delivering value early and iterating fast. You understand that the best AI solutions aren't just theoretically sound—they are robust, maintainable, and solve real-world problems. You build momentum by proving value through smart MVPs and scaling them into core business drivers.

Our perfect match 💗

• Holds a master’s degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, or another quantitative field
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving
• You’re motivated to apply AI to real business challenges
• Experience with programming and/or database querying (Python, R, SQL, etc.)
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, and enjoys collaborating with stakeholders
• Proactive and eager to make a tangible impact on the business
• Based within travel distance of the Eindhoven area (e.g. Brabantine City Row)
• Bonus: Did extra-curricular activities, had cool tech hobby projects or started a side business
