Working at Atra: Center for Rabbinic Innovation means joining a lean, dynamic team committed to shaping a visionary and impactful future for rabbinic leadership. As a central platform and network, Atra empowers rabbis with practical tools, adaptive strategies, and community support to meet the evolving needs of the Jewish world.
The Donor Engagement Manager plays a central role in executing Atra’s fundraising strategy. This role supports donor cultivation and stewardship, manages development systems and CRM infrastructure, assists with foundation grants, and helps craft communications that strengthen relationships with donors and partners.
This role is well suited for someone who enjoys moving work from planning to execution. The Manager helps ensure that donor pipelines are actively tracked, grant timelines stay on schedule, communications tell a compelling story about Atra’s impact, and the day-to-day work of development runs smoothly.
You are a detail-oriented, highly organized development and communications professional with at least three years of experience. You enjoy taking ideas and plans and turning them into clear, well-executed work.
In this role, you will thrive in a fast-moving environment where building systems and processes helps the organization run smoothly while also supporting the way we share about Atra’s impact. You are a strong writer and communicator who can draft donor and grant materials, newsletters, and social media content.
You are comfortable researching prospective donors, preparing briefing materials, managing data, tracking next steps, and helping move fundraising work forward.
You take initiative, follow through, and are willing to roll up your sleeves. You are energized by mission-driven work and excited to help build something growing and evolving.
This is a hybrid NYC-based role (2+ days per week in person at our Midtown NYC office), with occasional evening events and light travel for conferences or donor meetings.
