This role follows a different cadence to traditional consulting or on-site client presence - it follows a traditional product development cadence, while being expected to engage our users in the appropriate situations such as business conferences and in-person workshops.
 
What you’ll do

Build and lead a top-talented engineering hub in Buenos Aires that delivers scalable, secure, and reliable software for our products portfolio.

Create scalable, reliable, and high-performing software solutions that multiply our clients’ results and drive business growth.

Modernize and mature existing platforms, drive adoption of best engineering processes, foster innovation, and accelerate productivity.

Take a hands-on role, both at the architecture and code level in advancing our technical goals, while being a steward of the local engineering team.

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the BA engineering hub for new and existing platforms and applications.

  • Accountable for delivering thought leadership, strategic direction, and technology guidance to achieve business outcomes.

  • Maintain clear, recurring communication with the Global Head of Engineering and provide actionable guidance to local Technical Leads.

  • Select, onboard, and manage local vendors and contractors aligned to global strategy; monitor delivery, quality, cost, and compliance.

  • Define and refine KRs with stakeholders and drive delivery according to business outcomes.

  • Foster close communication with stakeholders and product owners to improve transparency and SLAs.

  • Accelerate standardization of engineering processes, software libraries, and reusable components across the firm.

  • Drive adoption of modern software engineering principles, tools, and technologies to maximize efficiency and productivity.

  • Advance the maturity of the engineering guild through technical leadership and best practices.

  • Provide mentorship and promote continuous learning for Platforms engineers.

  • Lead architecture strategies, governance processes, and long-term software architecture direction.

What you’ll need
  • 15+ combined experience working as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, Technical Lead, Technical Manager, or similar technical field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated expertise in software frameworks, technologies, and development.

  • A proven track record of collaborating on technical projects with cross-functional teams.

  • Deep experience in hands-on development work to stand up an architecture and drive the adoption within an organization.

  • Experience working in accordance with DevSecOps principles, and familiarity with industry deployment best practices using CI/CD tools and IaC (Infrastructure as Code).

  • Proven engineering leadership skills, including leading engineering teams and inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams towards a common goal.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to craft innovative solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making; adept at translating complex technical details to diverse audiences.

  • Management skills, including experience with OKRs and Agile methodologies.

  • Business fluency in English and Spanish.
Additional qualifications
  • Developed software supporting business consulting fields or enterprise SaaS solutions.

  • Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in tech communities.

  • Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to mentor and uplift junior team members or peers.
