Engineering Manager

Guardz is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our core product teams, building and scaling our cybersecurity platform.
This role combines strong people leadership with a sharp product and business mindset, along with the ability to stay close to the technology and step in hands-on when needed. You will operate in a fast-moving, dynamic environment, driving execution while adapting quickly to change.
We’re looking for a manager who is AI-first in mindset, comes from modern SaaS environments, and knows how to translate product needs into scalable, high-quality engineering outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering ownership, accountability, and growth
• Promote an AI-first engineering culture, leveraging modern tools to improve velocity and effectiveness
• Drive delivery of customer-facing features with high standards for quality, scalability, and speed
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define priorities and deliver business impact
• Ensure strong alignment between engineering execution and product/business goals
• Stay close to the team’s technical work, contributing to design, problem-solving, and hands-on involvement when needed
• Own team execution end-to-end: planning, delivery, and continuous improvement
• Guide architectural decisions while balancing short-term delivery with long-term system health
• Build a team environment that thrives in change, ambiguity, and rapid iteration
• Coach and mentor engineers, supporting their professional and career growth
• Continuously improve development processes, including CI/CD, testing, and cloud infrastructure

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams
• Proven experience in SaaS product companies
• Strong product and business orientation, able to connect engineering work to customer and company impact
• Proven adoption and transformation to AI-first development practices
• Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Supporting business at scale with hundreds/thousands of customers.
• Strong technical background with modern technologies (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar)
• Hands-on capability, able to dive into technical challenges and support the team when needed
• Solid experience with cloud environments and CI/CD practices
• Strong system design and architectural thinking
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
