Plata Card is hiring an Engineering Manager for our Colombia Origination Delivery team — a key initiative focused on scaling our product platform in Colombia by building on top of the proven solutions already established in Mexico.
Your mission is to ensure strong and sustainable engineering delivery in Colombia: extending and adapting the existing platform, maintaining high development velocity, and building a high-performing local team aligned with global standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role, where you combine people management with technical involvement. You will act as a manager and mentor for the team — developing engineers, shaping processes, and ensuring delivery quality, while staying close to the codebase to make informed technical decisions and contribute when needed.

- Overseeing team performance, ensuring on-time project delivery aligned with business goals
- Solving complex challenges and ensuring high-quality solutions
- Implementing and evolving backend services in Golang, closely aligned with the platform Delivery team's architectural direction
What makes you a great fit:
- 1+ years of experience managing small engineering teams (5-8 people) in fast-paced settings, preferably fintech with Go stack
- Hiring, development, performance, and delivery management and strong skills in cross-functional collaboration and the ability to build partnerships
- A strong technical background and development experience, enabling you to participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the team's technical solutions
- 4+ years of experience as a Go developer
- Experience in building and optimizing development processes (planning, decomposition, retrospectives)
- Diplomacy and the ability to advocate for your position and the team's interests with well-reasoned arguments
