Enterprise Platform Engineer (Salesforce), Ministry of Education (MOE)

At the Ministry of Education (MOE), we support educators and schools through technology that reduces complexity, improves reliability, and enables better educational outcomes at scale. As part of MOE’s digital transformation journey, we design and extend enterprise Salesforce platforms that support critical workflows across schools and MOE divisions.

As an Enterprise Platform Engineer (Salesforce), you will work hands-on with core Salesforce platforms and Salesforce Education Cloud, designing, extending, and scaling solutions that support educators and students nationwide. Your work will involve delivering Education Cloud–based capabilities, built on core Salesforce foundations, and integrating with other enterprise systems to operate reliably at national scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Salesforce & Education Cloud Solution Development: Design, implement, and deploy Salesforce solutions, including Salesforce Education Cloud, using core platform capabilities such as Service Cloud, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and configuration.
2. Customisation & Configuration: Extend Salesforce through Apex, triggers, flows, workflows, approval processes, and custom UI components to meet business needs.
3. Integrations & APIs: Build and support integrations between Salesforce and other government or third-party systems using Salesforce APIs and integration tools.
4. Collaboration & Delivery: Work with product managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-designed, production-ready Salesforce solutions.
5. Quality & Reliability: Perform unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to stable, secure, high-availability releases.
6. Best Practices & Continuous Improvement: Apply Salesforce best practices for security, performance, and maintainability, and continuously improve platform quality and engineering practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3–5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience supporting production systems
• Strong experience with core Salesforce platforms (e.g. Service Cloud), Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and configuration
• Solid understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and APIs
• Experience working in Agile software development environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Salesforce Platform Developer certification

 

Preferred

• Experience implementing or extending Salesforce Education Cloud
• Experience with Salesforce integrations, data migration, and third-party systems
• Exposure to mission-critical or government-scale platforms
• Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g. Platform Developer II, Service Cloud, Integration Architecture Designer) are a plus
