We’re looking for a Social Media Strategist to build and run a best‑in‑class executive social media program for our CEO and other senior leaders that sits at the forefront of AI and analytics. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this is an individual contributor role and ideal for an AI-native social media strategist with approx five years of experience.

What you’ll do

  • Directly support the X/Twitter social program for Amplitude’s CEO and other leaders.
  • Brainstorm AI-related content, identify creative angles and ideas, draft posts, manage content calendars, and coordinate reviews and approvals.
  • Partner with brand, comms, product, and design to turn complex AI and analytics topics into clear, engaging narratives—threads, posts, carousels, and short-form videos.
  • Track performance across platforms; share insights and recommendations on what’s working, what’s not, and where to double down.
  • Champion the use of AI tools (where appropriate) to research, ideate, and iterate faster, while ensuring final content is human, credible, and on-voice.
  • Help maintain guardrails and escalation paths for executive social, especially around sensitive topics or potential controversy.
  • Support Amplitude’s social media program more broadly (content creation, reporting, new ideas, etc.)

Experience

  • ~5 years of experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or startup, ideally in AI/B2B/B2C tech—with proven experience owning executive social handles.
  • Strong social copywriting skills and a portfolio of high‑engagement X/Twitter content.
  • Deep curiosity about AI trends and confidence distilling technical concepts into simple, thought‑provoking content.
  • Comfort working with senior leaders, incorporating feedback, and staying organized across multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with social analytics and listening tools to inform strategy and content decisions.
  • Bonus: experience helping manage issues or controversy on social, in partnership with comms.

This role is located in San Francisco and requires regular in-person interaction with our CEO and other thought leaders.
