Finance Intern

Finance team:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our Finance team. This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate finance processes, management reporting, business planning, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and eager to generate actionable insights.

 

Challenges that await you:

• Assist in preparing investor materials (presentations, data packs, and supporting documentation for fundraising or board meetings)
• Support the preparation of management reports and perform reconciliations between management accounts and statutory/accounting data to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Work with the business planning model – update actual figures, maintain data integrity, and verify the accuracy of inputs and outputs
• Collect actual data on Plata’s operating costs and perform plan vs. actual analysis; provide insights on cost optimization opportunities
• Provide insights and proactively participate in ad hoc analyses as needed

 

What makes you a great fit:

•  Fluent in English
• Final-year Bachelor’s student in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Confident Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive, takes ownership, and able to work independently
