We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial controllership, reporting, compliance, and operational finance activities for our India operations. This role will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while maintaining compliance with government regulations and company policies.
The Finance Manager will work closely with the India Finance Head, the APAC Finance team, and the Group Finance team in the Netherlands, while managing an outsourced finance provider in India. The role requires strong financial leadership, operational rigor, and the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities

Report to the India Finance Head and provide overall financial and controllership leadership to the local finance team and outsourced finance provider.

Drive monthly book closing and financial reporting, ensuring complete documentation for audits and regulatory scrutiny.

Conduct monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reviews, ensuring timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

Manage and review deliverables from outsourced finance teams to ensure compliance with government regulations and corporate guidelines.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis while performing detailed ledger reviews.

Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and ensure tax compliance.

Support treasury management and working capital optimization.

Continuously review accounting processes to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.

Collaborate with consultants to determine the correct direct and indirect tax treatments.

Oversee statutory, tax, and management reporting requirements.

Ensure revenue and cost recognition in compliance with IFRS 15, with proper documentation.

Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and dispute resolution.

Manage accounts receivable processes, including order management, invoicing, collections, credit control, and recovery of outstanding receivables.

Review and control intercompany reconciliations.

Manage fixed asset accounting and tracking.

Ensure accuracy of monthly accruals.

Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings and payments including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, PT, etc.

Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes and compliance.

Lead planning and forecasting activities with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals.

Supervise and mentor the local finance team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.

Support implementation of improvements in procedures, policies, and financial systems to support business scaling.

Evaluate opportunities for insourcing outsourced finance activities where appropriate.
Qualifications

Postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

MBA in Finance, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Certified Accountant preferred
Experience

8–13 years of finance experience, preferably in the service industry

Experience working in multinational or multi-business-unit environments is preferred
