About the role: What's in the Box

As a Freelance Interim Finance & Accounting Manager, you will step in to support the financial operations of our Benelux entities during a maternity leave period. In this assignment, you will help ensure the stability and integrity of accounting, tax, and reporting processes across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

You will work closely with the Senior Director of Finance (Benelux & Nordics) and collaborate with teams across Production, Logistics, Marketing, HR, and Group Finance. Your focus will be to maintain continuity across key finance processes while supporting the team through a busy and evolving period.

This is a hands-on interim assignment where your expertise will help ensure that month-end close, statutory requirements, and financial operations continue to run smoothly. It is expected to run from May 2026 until approximately January 2027, with full-time availability preferred.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate accounting and timely reporting for our Benelux entities
  • Oversee local statutory and tax compliance, including Dutch GAAP alignment and coordination with external tax advisors
  • Support and guide the local finance team, helping prioritize workloads and maintain operational continuity
  • Act as the primary contact for auditors, providing documentation and explanations during audit activities
  • Monitor cash positions and approve payments, ensuring treasury and cash pool requirements are met
  • Collaborate with Group Reporting, Group Tax, and cross-functional stakeholders across the business
  • Support finance-related projects such as entity changes, new ventures, or accounting treatments for new initiatives

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

  • Strong accounting background with experience in statutory reporting, financial compliance, and month-end close
  • Knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS, with exposure to local tax processes such as corporate income tax
  • Experience leading or supporting finance teams in a corporate or international environment
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or similar) and Excel
  • Ability to step into complex environments quickly and operate independently as an interim finance professional
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus

  • Location: Amsterdam
  • This role is offered on a freelance basis; standard employee benefits do not apply.
  • All contingent workers engaged by HelloFresh must hold valid professional liability insurance that is valid in the Netherlands. If we decide to move forward together and you are not yet insured, you will be asked to arrange this insurance before starting the assignment.
