What you will do
As a Full-stack Engineer, you will dive into the heart of our data operations. You will be instrumental in developing scalable data architectures, managing complex data transformations, and handling large data streams on the fly. Your work will directly contribute to delivering the best business intelligence solutions in the hospitality industry and shaping the future of our Distribution Insight product.
Where you will have impact
- Implement and maintain robust streaming and batch data processing pipelines to handle massive data volumes in real-time.
- Design, build, and support scalable SaaS and microservices architectures for our industry-leading BI solutions.
- Guarantee data integrity and quality by extending our logging, monitoring, and outlier detection systems.
- Deploy and monitor applications in a reproducible and scalable way, taking ownership of parts of our tech stack and infrastructure.
- Clean, analyze, and extract valuable datasets from various external sources to fuel our insights.
- Collaborate with and provide support to your team members and other teams across the company to solve complex challenges.
- Continuously experiment with and improve our technology stack, finding new ways to enhance our products and processes.
About our team
Join our small but mighty team of six versatile engineers, including two DevOps specialists! We're the powerhouse behind the Distribution Insight product, a critical part of the Lighthouse platform. Our mission is to process billions of real-time transactions, turning complex data into actionable insights for our customers in under 10 minutes. From monitoring TCP packets to building and maintaining our custom BI tool, we own the entire data journey. We thrive on collaboration and have a huge impact, helping hotels analyze everything from booking errors to channel performance.

Who you are
- Proven professional experience writing clean, maintainable Java code.
- Fluency in SQL and experience with database management.
- A strong affinity for and experience with big data technologies and concepts.
- A genuine passion for technology and AI tools and applying it to solve complex problems.
- A creative and entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for innovation and continuous improvement.
- A commitment to high standards and delivering quality work within a talented team.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative spirit.
We welcome
- Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud or AWS.
- Familiarity with web frameworks (e.g., Ember, JSF, AngularJS) and UNIX-based operating systems.
- Knowledge of modern Java features and Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.
