About Vicarious Surgical
Vicarious Surgical is a next-generation robotics company on a mission to democratize high-quality surgical care. By combining advanced miniaturized robotics, computer science, and 3D visualization, we are building a platform that allows surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures with unprecedented efficiency and precision.
Our Bangalore hub is a critical engine for our global engineering and supply chain operations. We are seeking a Global Supply Manager (GSM) to lead our sourcing efforts in the region, bridging the gap between our US-based design teams and the robust manufacturing ecosystem in India and Southeast Asia.
The Role
As the Global Supply Manager in Bangalore, you will be the primary link between our headquarters in Waltham, MA, and our growing network of international suppliers. This role is unique—you will be the "boots on the ground" in India, responsible for identifying high-capability partners and ensuring they meet the stringent quality standards required for medical robotics.
Employment Note: This position is hosted through a Professional Employer Organization (PEO). While you will be a dedicated, full-time member of the Vicarious Surgical team, your payroll and local statutory benefits will be administered by our regional PEO partner.
Working hours of Monday through Friday (Office hours start at 3PM to ensure significant overlap with US hours)
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Sourcing Strategy: Identify, audit, and onboard high-quality suppliers in India and Asia for precision mechanicals, electronics, and sub-assemblies.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between US Engineering and India-based manufacturing to ensure seamless NPI (New Product Introduction) transitions.

- Logistics & Export: Navigate US, Indian, Chinese, and other national import/export regulations and international logistics to ensure timely delivery of components to our US integration facility.
- Risk Management: Monitor regional market trends, labor shifts, and geopolitical factors that could impact the supply chain.
- Internal Team Collaboration and Supplier Liason: Work with cross functional teams (R&D engineering, manufacturing engineering, program management, quality) to understand design and manufacturing requirements and act as a liaison between suppliers and Vicarious Surgical: gather and analyze data, clearly communicate findings (written and verbal)
- Work with internal teams to conduct rigorous tests of incoming components and identify potential areas of failure or recurring manufacturing defects
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports related to supplier, processes, and components
- Support process enhancement to improve process efficiency while maintaining a high level of quality, safety, and reliability
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports related to supplier, processes, and components
- Support strategic supply chain and operations initiatives as needed (purchase orders, vendor qualification, second-sourcing, score-cards, etc)
