A day in the life

As Head of Corporate Communications, you’ll drive the ManyPets story – shaping how we communicate our purpose, performance, and personality inside and outside the business. Sitting within the brand team, you’ll work closely with the CEO and senior leaders to bring our voice to life across media, partners, investors, and internal teams.

You’ll lead on external storytelling around our growth and success, while equipping our internal comms network to engage and inspire teams across the company. With the support of our external agency partners, you’ll ensure our corporate reputation and consumer communications work hand in hand – building awareness, trust, and pride in the ManyPets brand.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an annual corporate communications plan that reflects ManyPets’ brand purpose and strategic ambitions, and reaches key communications targets
  • Partner with the VP Brand, CEO and SLT to craft compelling narratives for staff, media, stakeholders, and investors.
  • Lead on financial and performance communications, creating ways to share our key metrics, strategy, and business vision with audiences including board members, investors, veterinary partners, and internal teams.
  • Manage a direct report who supports internal communications, knowledge sharing on our intranet, company-wide engagement and external events.
  • Work with communications champions across the business, including in Operations, to help refine their plans, messaging and strengthen cross-team engagement.
  • Collaborate with external PR and corporate communications agencies to deliver impactful campaigns and earned media opportunities.
  • Lead industry events participation, ensuring content is connected to our strategy, messaging and attracts coverage from industry media
  • Map and lead on our award entries to maximize our reputation and highlight our strengths
  • Partner closely with acquisition and content marketing teams to use PR as a performance driver—building awareness, brand familiarity, and reinforcing our positioning as the pet parent champion.
  • Ensure ManyPets innovates in its use of technology to maximise understanding, engagement and efficiency through the latest AI-driven tools, agents and LLM-focused strategies where relevant
  • Support the veterinary engagement and partnerships teams by shaping our messaging, storytelling, and company fact base for external partners.

What does success look like?

  • Clear, engaging, and consistent corporate storytelling that builds trust with employees, investors, partners, and the industry.
  • Proactive earned media coverage that increases awareness and credibility of the ManyPets brand.
  • Well-informed, motivated teams across the business who understand and champion our mission to make the world a better place for pets and their parents, and vision to become the number 1 choice of pet parents.
  • Strong relationships and collaboration across departments, contributing to a unified brand voice, with common language and shared understanding
  • Measurable impact on media reach, brand mentions, brand familiarity, reputation, and stakeholder engagement.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven, senior experience leading corporate communications within an insurance or financial services environment.
  • Strong numeracy and comfort with strategic and financial topics.
  • Demonstrated success using PR to deliver both B2B and B2C objectives.
  • Excellent storytelling ability, with sound judgment on tone, timing, and channel.
  • Confident working with senior executives and external stakeholders, with strong media and agency management skills.
  • Familiarity with consumer brands and a genuine passion for pets and pet parents.
  • Collaborative leadership style, able to influence at all levels and develop high-performing talent.
  • Able to originate ideas and work from a blank sheet of paper, you innovate and lead rather than follow
  • Curious and innovation-minded, with the ability to discover new ways to communicate using tools like AI, and a desire to adjust approaches to reflect current behaviour shifts and new comms platforms
  • Media trained, experienced in presenting and able to create compelling, high-quality presentations and media materials in collaboration with others or alone when needed
Salary range:
£65,000—£75,000 GBP
