About this role

IndieWire is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Client Success Manager to lead pre-, mid-, and post-sale support for entertainment and consumer accounts. This role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and operations — responsible not only for sustaining and deepening current partnerships, but for identifying and growing new revenue across IndieWire's digital, custom content, and live media portfolio.

You will work closely with the IndieWire sales, marketing, editorial, ad operations, and product teams to ensure every client partnership delivers a seamless, creative, and results-driven experience. This is also a compelling opportunity for candidates coming from sponsorship and partnership roles, arts organizations, film festivals, or publishing — anywhere deep knowledge of the film and entertainment landscape meets client-facing skill.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Generate compelling proposals, media kits, and sales materials for partner outreach across digital, custom content, and live media offerings
  • Drive revenue growth with consumer and endemic clients spanning entertainment, streaming, consumer goods, and related categories
  • Analyze digital inventory availability to surface and maximize revenue opportunities
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients at the direct, PR, and agency levels

Campaign Management & Execution:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout campaign lifecycle — from kickoff through final delivery
  • Coordinate with ad operations on asset delivery, digital inventory management, makegoods, and delivery optimization
  • Oversee custom content campaigns including editorial integrations, branded video, and social initiatives — managing timelines, logistics, and cross-functional alignment
  • Manage and track partner marketing assets and deliverables for both digital and live media activations
  • Create detailed campaign wrap-up reports and client-facing decks for integrated and digital packages

Operations & Administration:

  • Manage contract negotiations and billing/payment coordination
  • Work with Salesforce and accounting to ensure IOs and invoices are accurately entered, tracked, billed, and reconciled
  • Manage and track sales forecasting and vertical performance within IndieWire's sales portfolio
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication across sales, video, editorial, social, marketing, and events teams to ideate and develop integrated solutions

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4 years of experience in media planning, brand partnerships, or client-facing account management
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and attend industry events, including outside of standard business hours
  • Knowledge of the film, TV, and entertainment industry landscape

Preferred:

  • Experience working with entertainment industry clients (studios, streamers, distributors, PR firms)
  • Background in sponsor/partnership management at an arts organization, film festival, or publisher or entertainment/consumer agency background
  • Familiarity with live event sales and execution
  • Experience managing custom content programs (editorial, video, social, experiential)
  • Experience with PIO or similar order management platforms
