About You and The Role  

Zipline needs a builder who can design, build and operate a world class internal comms program and visitor experience for every investor, partner, government delegation, customer and strategic visitor who walks through our doors. This role is a part internal comms role and a part VIP visitor experience leader. This position owns the systems, narratives, logistics, comms and on site moments that shape how external stakeholders understand Zipline’s mission, capability, and momentum. You’ll own Zipline’s internal comms to all employees and build the internal comms program/function from the ground up. You will orchestrate and host all hands, internal comms programs and visits with VIP external stakeholders end to end, ensuring every interaction is polished, intentional, and reflective of a company operating at the forefront of aerospace, logistics, and autonomy. 

You will partner directly with leadership, Comms, Manufacturing, Product, Engineering, Flight Ops, Operations, Culture, and Commercial to showcase our work with absolute clarity and consistency. Your job is to raise the bar and set the standard for comms to our employees and how the outside world experiences Zipline.

What You'll Do  

Build and run the internal communications function

  • Own internal comms function, build it from the ground up and be responsible for executing it
  • Run the All Hands program end-to-end: agenda, narrative arc, speaker prep, content creation, production, and follow-up
  • Build a quarterly internal comms calendar aligned to the business plan and operating milestones; be responsible for bringing it to life and making it happen
  • Build an internal comms program that helps employees feel more connected, and increases employee retention and satisfaction 
  • Partner with the People team and our Culture Champion on internal comms
  • Lead sensitive communications with strong judgment (org changes, incidents, policy updates), ensuring clarity, speed, and consistency
  • Identify other opportunities to for compelling internal comms 

Own VIP visitor experience

  • Own the full lifecycle of key VIP visits. Design the flow, narrative, run of show, staffing, and logistics to ensure every visit is seamless and high impact.
  • Build a repeatable, scalable visit program that avoids one-off chaos and delivers consistent, high quality experiences as visitor volume grows.
  • Craft the storytelling framework for tours and briefings. Package complex technology, operational excellence, and company progress into a crisp, compelling narrative tailored to each audience.
  • Lead on-site execution. Coordinate teams, prep select speakers, manage timing, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure the environment is polished and ready.
  • Partner with leaders across the company to ensure visit content reflects current product milestones, operational achievements, and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain physical and digital assets used during visits: demos, displays, briefing materials, environmental branding, and other touchpoints.
  • Monitor visit outcomes, gather feedback, and continuously upgrade the program to raise quality and efficiency.
  • Identify ways to constantly uplevel the experience and provide a world class visitor experience and representation of Zipline

What You'll Bring 

  • 5+ years designing or managing high profile experiences in one or more of the following areas: executive briefings, investor relations support, customer innovation centers, government or partner delegations, hospitality programs, or operationally heavy event management.
  • A proven ability to turn complex technology or operational work into concise, compelling narratives that resonate with senior external stakeholders.
  • Experience running tight, high stakes events or visits with zero room for sloppiness: you know how to prepare teams, control the flow, and react quickly when plans change.
  • Strong operational discipline with the ability to design repeatable processes, manage workflows across functions, and keep execution predictable.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with strong presence and judgment in front of executives, investors, and VIPs.
  • High taste level and attention to detail. You know how to build experiences that feel premium, intentional, and consistent with a world class brand.
  • Comfort working in a fast moving, scaling environment where priorities shift and visitor demand fluctuates unpredictably.
  • A mindset focused on clarity, efficiency, and lifting the burden off internal teams while elevating Zipline’s external narrative
