SCOPE OF THE ROLE
This is an opportunity to work on a wide range of different challenges across multiple teams with the opportunity to learn in many different business domains. The work in this role will directly benefit many different stakeholders across the business. contributing to strategic business objectives as well as improvements to our stack. You will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall system design, working closely with developers and business stakeholders in this exciting position.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Python-based applications and components for the Accounting team, including the implementation of new blockchain explorers into our system
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets team standards
- Participate in code reviews, share constructive feedback, and iterate on solutions
- Create and maintain unit tests to ensure reliability and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prototype, and implement new features
- Work closely with other teams to investigate and solve issues
- Maintain and enforce good quality internal documentation
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Strong proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming concepts
- Practical experience with a Python unit testing framework (e.g., unittest or pytest)
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaborative development (e.g., branching, merging, resolving conflicts)
- Habit of writing maintainable, well-documented code
- Good analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in English
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Linux, Docker and CI/CD automation tools
- Experience with Django+DRF or another commonly used Python web framework
- Understanding of web technologies and protocols (e.g. HTTP, WebSocket)
- Experience with Celery, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis
- Previous experience or Interest in cryptocurrencies, trading platforms, or financial markets
- Previous internship or commercial work experience
