Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to lead and grow one of Bradken’s most strategic customer relationships within the mining sector. This role is responsible for driving long-term value through strong technical engagement, strategic account management, and close collaboration with operational and engineering teams.

The Key Account Manager will work closely with senior leadership and customer stakeholders to identify opportunities, deliver tailored technical solutions, and support improved operational performance across mining operations. Success in this role requires a strong combination of technical expertise in mining mobile plant, commercial acumen, and relationship management capability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

  • Lead the strategic management and growth of key customer relationships, ensuring long-term partnership and value creation.

  • Develop and execute account strategies to increase market penetration, expand revenue opportunities, and strengthen customer engagement.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, providing technical and commercial guidance aligned with operational needs.

Customer Engagement & Site Support

  • Conduct regular mine site visits to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships, and provide technical support.

  • Apply technical expertise across Mining Mobile Plant components including Ground Engaging Tools (G.E.T.), buckets, and undercarriage systems to improve equipment performance and reliability.

  • Work closely with maintenance teams, planners, and operational personnel to address wear challenges and optimise component life and performance.

Technical & Commercial Leadership

  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on market trends, customer requirements, and product development opportunities.

  • Support the development and implementation of technical sales strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations to key decision-makers within mining operations.

Business Growth & Performance

  • Develop and manage account sales plans, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Monitor account performance and proactively address variances to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement within key accounts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering and technical teams to develop and deploy innovative product solutions.

  • Support the development of new products and services based on customer feedback and operational insights.

  • Facilitate collaboration across sales, engineering, and operations teams to deliver high-quality customer outcomes.

About You

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline preferred, or

  • Trade-qualified background with strong experience in mining mobile equipment.

Experience

  • Demonstrated years of experience in technical sales, key account management, or a similar role within the mining industry.

  • Hands-on experience working with Mining Mobile Plant products such as Ground Engaging Tools (G.E.T.), buckets, or undercarriage systems.

  • Strong understanding of open-cut mining operations and mobile equipment maintenance environments.

  • Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships and driving account growth.

  • Strong understanding of mine site safety protocols and operational environments.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to diagnose wear issues and recommend practical, performance-driven solutions.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Epicor, or similar sales management systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

This role is based in Burswood, WA
