About the Position

 

At Bradken, a proud member of the Hitachi Construction Machinery Group, our mission is to help the mining and resources sector operate more efficiently and sustainably. As a Logistics Coordinator based at our Manufacturing Plant in a Edmonton, you will play a key role within our supply chain operations team.

 

In this role, you will support the coordination and execution of inland transportation, imports, and exports of components and finished products throughout North America. You will ensure freight transactions are accurate and transparent while managing client communications in a timely and efficient manner.

 

You will collaborate closely with order management, manufacturing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure smooth distribution processes. Your contributions will improve operational efficiency, strengthen supply chain visibility, and support the overall success of Bradken's logistics operations.

 

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, manage bookings with freight forwarders, and ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant.
  • Support month-end processes, maintain logistics records, and provide timely updates to internal teams.
  • Optimize freight costs, identify process improvements, and contribute to the development of standardized distribution practices.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as freight forwarders and shipping companies.

 

Key Technical Criteria

 

Qualifications and Certifications

  • DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience in import/export operations, customs procedures, and international trade.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and logistics platforms.
  • French is a plus but not must have

 

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in freight coordination or logistics within an industrial environment.
  • Experience in freight forwarding, warehousing, or project logistics.
  • Strong understanding of freight best practices and distribution processes.
  • Ability to manage documentation and compliance with international shipping regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

 

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of freight, import, and export regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Commercial acumen and a focus on cost optimization.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and compliance-driven approach.
