Hillel International · Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Make your mark on Jewish student life by joining Hillel Council of New England (HCNE) as the inaugural Manager of Jewish Life and Learning at Boston College. As a community builder, you’ll inspire students to be partners in continuing and growing a vibrant and welcoming Jewish community at Boston College.
In addition to working primarily with students as part of the Hillel organization under Campus Ministry, where you will serve as the Hillel advisor, you will also work closely with our supportive student-facing team members across all of our campuses, support large-scale, regional programs and recruit for immersive experiences and cohort-based programs for our multi-campus Hillel.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and skilled multi-tasker who will partner with students, colleagues, campus administrators, faculty and staff, parents, and alumni to promote robust Jewish life at Boston College and drive Hillel’s mission, values and goals.
The Manager of Jewish Life and Learning reports jointly to the HCNE Assistant Director and the Boston College Campus Ministry department.
Hillel Council of New England (HCNE) is the central hub for Jewish campus life in Boston, serving 12 campuses in the Greater Boston area. We work exclusively with campuses that have smaller Jewish populations, collectively serving over 2000 Jewish students.
We connect students with each other through local on-campus programs, regional events, cohort learning, and through immersive travel experiences.
Hillel Council of New England currently has professionals on the following campuses: Berklee College of Music, Bentley University, Boston College, Curry College, Emerson College, Simmons University, and Suffolk University. Hillel Council of New England supports student-led programs at Lesley University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Wheaton College, Salem State University, and UMass Boston.
Hillel Council of New England is affiliated with Hillel International. Hillel International enriches the lives of Jewish students so they may enrich the Jewish people and the world, and envisions a world where every student is inspired to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel.
In 1923, Rabbi Benjamin Frankel started Hillel with humble means, a noble mission and a breathtaking vision: to convey Jewish civilization to a new generation. Today, Hillel International continues to enrich the lives of Jewish students and is the largest Jewish campus organization in the world at nearly 1,000 colleges and universities across North America and around the world. As Hillel evolves as an organization, the mission remains steadfast: to create lasting connections with every Jewish student that foster an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel and train them to become the next Jewish leaders.
