Description

The Operations Support Generalist provides cross-functional operational and administrative support to the Procurement, Human Resources, and Localization teams. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by coordinating processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in the core applications used for productivity, collaboration, and industry-specific workflows.

The Operations Support Generalist is responsible for supporting purchasing and renewal activities across software, hardware, and service contracts for both technology and a broader range of direct and indirect spend categories. This role ensures efficient execution of procure-to-pay processes, primarily through internal tracking and administrative support, freeing up the Procurement Manager to focus on strategic initiatives. By proactively collaborating with all internal stakeholders at an early stage of the procurement process, the Operations Support Generalist plays a vital role in enabling efficient processes and supporting our diverse business needs. Secondary responsibilities include supporting HR and localization teams.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Procurement & Tracking

  • Process purchase requisitions for a wide range of goods and services across direct/indirect spend categories. 
  • Coordinate the full procure-to-pay process, including converting requisitions to purchase orders, diligently tracking approvals within Jira Service Desk, and ensuring timely vendor payments. 
  • Track and manage contract renewals across all categories, ensuring adherence to contract terms and maintaining accurate records.

 

Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain accurate procurement records within Jira Service Desk, supporting category spend analysis, budget tracking, and forecasting. 
  • Assist with the creation of spend reports and procurement activity dashboards. 

 

Stakeholder Support & Compliance

  • Collaborate with Game Studios, Finance, and Legal teams to align procurement activities with organizational needs. 
  • Ensure compliance with Daybreak procurement policies and IT governance standards. 

 

Manager Support

  • Assist the Procurement Manager with data gathering for reports, data analysis, and strategic initiatives. 
  • Provide administrative support for HR processes.

 

Record Keeping

  • Update and maintain accurate employee files and HR databases.

 

Employee Engagement

  • Planning and coordination of employee engagement activities/events.

 

Localization Support

  • Support of localization activities and coordination of vendor teams

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred) (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, human resources operations, ideally within the technology or gaming industry. 
  • Familiarity with Jira Service Desk and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel skills preferred).
