
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage the end-to-end cycle, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and strict compliance with local labor and tax laws. The role is critical for accurate financial reporting and exceptional employee support.
Key Responsibilities
-Accurate Payroll Execution: Manage the complete biweekly/montly payroll cycle, ensuring precise calculation of base salaries, overtime (OT), variable compensation and benefits.
-Compliance & Reporting: Process and remit all mandatory deductions (Social Security - CSS, Income Tax - ISR, Education Insurance) and authorized personal deductions (loans, garnishments). Prepare and submit timely government contribution reports.
-Employee Service: Serve as the primary professional point of contact for all employee payroll inquiere, providing clear explanations on payments, legal deductions and leave balances (vacations, sick days)
-Finalcial Integrity: Prepare payroll-related journal entries and perform monthly reconciliation of payroll account, ensuring data accuracy for the General Ledger.
-Leave Management: Accurately manage and track employee leave balances (vacation, sick leave, disability) and calculate correct accruals and payouts.
Requirements
-Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and variable compensation calculation.
-Strong knowledge of local labor and fiscal regulations (Panama/specific region)
-Experience with payroll systems and accounting software.
-Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
