Job Title – Payroll Specialist

Location – Montgomery, AL, on-site

What You Will Do

·       Provides high level of customer service while handling sensitive and confidential information.

·       Proven work experience processing payrolls, including collecting timesheets and inputting new hire, transfer and termination paperwork.

·       Responsible for producing payroll deduction files to process child support and garnishment transactions.

·       Accurate processing of payroll deductions such as 401(k) including weekly fund contributions, quarterly enrollment updates and year-end audits.

·       Generate and distribute payroll-related reports to management, accounting, and HR departments as needed.

·       Collaboration across various departments to ensure efficiency and accuracy of payroll processing.

·       Responsible for reviewing new employee records to determine appropriate tax jurisdictions for payroll processing

·       Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

·       Minimum high school diploma/GED preferred and 3 years of payroll experience.

While the salary range is typically between $49,075 - $65,500 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to handle conflicting tasks in a high-volume environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel, experience in payroll software preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to critically analyze situations and recognize problem areas and identify steps for resolving these issues. Must be able to handle multiple payroll cycles.
