The role

As our new Product Manager at Prolific, you will take your place in Prolific's Product, Research, and Design Group.

• Impact: You will be the Product person responsible for the impact and outcomes of a team building out next gen tooling that enables frontier AI model developers to conduct cutting edge AI research. This is a career-defining moment to shape how some of the world’s biggest technology companies are building AI…no big deal! You'll report into the Product Lead for the Prolific for AI Product Group, and will work cross-functionally while accountable for a stream-aligned team. 
• Experience: You'll bring experience building AI native systems, with particular experience building AI native UX. You’ll have had success taking complex human workflows and distilling them into highly adaptable technical systems and then scale access to those systems across multiple interaction surfaces - UI, APIs, CLIs and MPCs.
• Domain: The Data Collection Tooling feature set  is a key technical driver of what Prolific does best, and therefore the time, energy and focus of this team are worth their weight in gold. It’s critical that the person in this role prioritises both intuitively and systematically and is a master at the elegant art of trade-offs.
• Responsibilities: You will be responsible for product managing a stream-aligned team of your own. This means you’ll be accountable for the outcomes and impact of that team. You’ll also be the key driver of interaction with your peer teams and be able to collaborate across domains of science, research, supply, sales and account services.

What you’ll be doing in the role 

• You’ll be working within your team to build and launch the next generation of Prolific’s Data Collection Tooling product suite
• You’ll stay up to speed with the rapidly changing face of frontier AI research in order to ensure your product keeps up with our customers requirements.
• You’ll be responsible for the end to end product development lifecycle, from strategy to success metrics to roadmaps to delivery and iteration.
• You’ll be responsible for communicating your strategy to our executives, but also working through details with your team.
• You will be unblocking and simplifying complexity: colleagues will bring you problems, and emerge optimistic, with solutions.
• You'll partner productively with Product Design, User Research, Analytics, and Engineering to find ways to deliver products in a test-learn-iterate fashion.

What you’ll bring to the role

• An extensive and varied track record working embedded in technology teams alongside engineers and designers. 
• B2B product experience, ideally focused on large enterprises, where you’ve had to work with, and manage, multiple internal stakeholders to deliver value and scale your product’s impact.
• Competence or expertise in most or all of the industry's prevailing Product tools, models, and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience of Agile frameworks, Continuous Discovery, CI/CD, JTBD frameworks, thin or vertical slicing, self-organizing teams, Team Topologies, advocacy of 'thinking in bets,' test-learn-iterate loops, and Growth loops / Growth hacking.
• Expertise in experimenting with the latest AI led technologies in the Product Manager’s tool box, you’re expected to experiment with technology and build POCs yourself.
• Strong data literacy and true data-driven decision-making.
• A storyteller's flair, a model teamplayer, belief in 'strong opinions weakly held', personal accountability, and a relentless can-do attitude.

• Scale-up or startup experience.
• AI/ML training / AI/ML development experience.
• A track record of giving back to your Product community.
