About this role

Production Support Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Compensation: Competitive base + benefits

Togetherwork is seeking a Production Support Engineer to serve as the cornerstone of IT operations at our growing Austin office. This is a dual-function, hands-on role combining frontline IT support with collaborative endpoint management — the best of both worlds for someone who thrives on variety and loves keeping technology humming smoothly.

As the Austin office expands, you'll be the go-to technical resource on the ground — supporting executives, setting up new hires, managing the office's A/V and wireless environment, and ensuring hardware flows in and out seamlessly. In parallel, you'll work side-by-side with our IT Hardware team based in Maryland, serving as the Austin arm of a collaborative, cross-regional operation that collectively manages endpoint infrastructure for the entire company.

What You'll Do:

Local IT Support – Austin Office

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for Austin office staff, with priority attention to executive-level users
  • Manage and maintain the office's A/V systems, conference room technology, and wireless infrastructure
  • Handle end-to-end new hire laptop deployment — imaging, enrollment, and handoff — so employees are ready to work on day one
  • Execute hardware offboarding and retrieval when employees transition out of the company
  • Serve as the local escalation point for hardware and connectivity issues in the office

Endpoint Management – In Partnership with the Maryland Team

    • Own endpoint management responsibilities for Austin office devices, complementing the Maryland team's management of remote employees
    • Collaborate cross-regionally to build, maintain, and refine device management policies in Jamf and Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager
    • Package and deploy applications, configurations, and compliance policies across the managed device fleet
    • Contribute to hardware lifecycle management — tracking, auditing, and maintaining inventory accuracy
    • Participate in cross-team projects including AutoPilot/Intune enrollment workflows, policy standardization, and tooling improvements
    • Partner with the Maryland team on runbook development and continuous improvement of provisioning and support processes

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager (device enrollment, compliance policies, app deployment)
  • Familiarity with Jamf Pro or Jamf Now for macOS/iOS device management
  • Solid understanding of Windows and macOS endpoint configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting A/V systems, conferencing technology, and wireless networks in an office environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills — you'll be representing IT to executives and staff alike
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with physical hardware work: unboxing, imaging, labeling, shipping, and retrieving equipment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft AutoPilot and White Glove provisioning workflows
  • Familiarity with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Entra-joined device management
  • Experience with asset management platforms (e.g., BlueTally, Snipe-IT, or similar)
  • Exposure to ITSM/ticketing tools such as Jira Service Management
  • Experience supporting a primarily remote or hybrid workforce
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or similar certifications

Why This Role:

  • Work on-site in a modern Austin office with a growing, energetic team
  • Dual-function role offering both direct people impact and technical depth
  • Collaborative culture with a cross-regional IT team that values your contributions
  • Exposure to enterprise endpoint management at scale across Mac and Windows environments
  • Opportunity to shape IT processes and standards as the Austin office grows

About the Team:

You'll join Togetherwork's IT Hardware team, a collaborative group responsible for the procurement, provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management of physical devices across the company. The core team operates out of our Maryland office and manages hardware for our large remote employee base. You'll be their counterpart in Austin — embedded in the local office but deeply connected to the broader team.

We're a practical, process-oriented team that values clear communication, documentation, and doing things right the first time. If you take pride in clean deployments, organized inventory, and endpoints that just work, you'll fit right in.

The Company offers a comprehensive employee benefits program, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • 100% Employer paid short/long term disability
  • Basic Life
  • 401(k) option with company match up to 4%
  • Flexible paid personal/vacation time built on mutual trust and accountability
  • 10 sick days annually
  • 10 company paid holidays
  • 6 weeks paid parental leave
  • Culture that values work/life balance and celebrates successes
