Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and structured Quality Assurance Manager (m/f/d) to build and continuously enhance our quality processes across production, supply chain, and end-of-line (EOL) testing. In this key role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a robust quality management system (QMS) that ensures our unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) platforms meet the demanding standards of the defense sector.

You will collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams — driving practical improvements, introducing suitable quality tools, and ensuring consistent operational excellence. The role requires a strong communicator who combines analytical strength with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

Your impact at ARX Robotics

• Develop, establish, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including procedures, documentation, and continuous improvement processes.
• Lead the setup and optimization of quality processes across production, supplier management, and EOL testing.
• Recommend and implement quality tools and methods (e.g., 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA, APQP, PPAP) to drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Conduct incoming inspections, in-process checks, and final acceptance testing to ensure component and system conformity.
• Act as the central point of contact for all quality-related topics within ARX Robotics — bridging production, engineering, and supply chain.
• Manage supplier quality: perform audits, handle non-conformities, and ensure supplier performance and compliance.
• Monitor and report key quality KPIs and support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, defense-specific requirements).
• Drive the implementation of corrective actions and ensure effective follow-through to achieve measurable improvements.

Your Profile

• Completed vocational training or degree in quality management, engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in quality assurance or production quality, ideally in automotive, robotics, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001) and methods (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D).
• Proven ability to set up and optimize quality processes and documentation from scratch.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills — comfortable working across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset combined with a hands-on and implementation-focused attitude.
• Excellent German and English skills (minimum B2 level in both).
