Quality Assurance Officer

Job Description 

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be out on the floor, ensuring our food safety and quality processes are world-class. You'll be our champion for continuous improvement, working closely with our operations and production teams to keep everything running smoothly and safely. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality in the food industry, this is the perfect role for you! 

This role is based in Karawatha, Brisbane, and reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

You will… 

• Be on the factory floor, monitoring the work of our Quality Controllers and operations team. ● Conduct daily Critical Control Point (CCP) audits and quickly raise corrective actions for any breaches. 
• Be the guardian of general plant Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards through regular inspections. 
• Conduct pre-operational checks after cleaning to ensure our equipment is sparkling and ready to go. 
• Investigate non-conforming products, figure out the root cause, and follow up to make sure our fixes are effective. 
• Keep detailed, up-to-date records of all QA activities and prepare daily handover reports for the Quality Manager and the next shift. 
• Help train our production and packing staff on quality and safety procedures. ● Be involved in other key verification activities like internal audits, calibration, and sanitation checks. 

You have… 

• At least 1 year of experience working in the food industry. 
• Solid knowledge of food safety principles, including HACCP. 
• Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications. 
• Strong communication skills - you can clearly explain issues and solutions (both written and verbal). 
• An excellent ability to analyse problems and find practical, solutions-oriented answers. ● A strong work ethic, professionalism, and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
• Bonus points for a Food Science/Technology Degree or related qualification, and knowledge of a GFSI standard.

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia.
