Team mission

We are looking for an experienced leader to manage our Greater China business and drive the commercial performance under account management scope on all major destinations in the region. As Regional Manager Greater China, you will act as an entrepreneur and be responsible for identifying opportunities and strategic initiatives of key attractions and activity partners in the region, building strong business relationships, and creating strategic supply advantages for GetYourGuide. You will spearhead the regional commercial performance, rapidly launch new destinations, and lead a team to achieve your objectives. This position reports to our Regional Director APAC.

Your mission

  • Drive the commercial growth of the region by improving existing connections with key attractions and key activity partners
  • Drive buy-ins and adaption of global strategies and processes
  • Escalate and add regional nuances to core strategies to penetrate the region
  • Launch new activities against an ambitious launch timeline
  • Exceed sales and revenue targets by effectively managing quarterly sales goals
  • Lead by example; set clear expectations and provide role clarity to develop your team by holding people accountable, reviewing progress, and providing constant feedback and guidance
  • Implement strategies for scaling the company’s existing supplier base, driving supply diversity and account’s market share, by adjusting and evolving programs over time to meet these goals
  • Ensure accurate sales reporting, CRM hygiene, metric analysis, sales recognition, and other ad-hoc sales operations support activities
  • Recruit, lead, manage, and develop a highly driven sales team 
  • Seamless cross-team work with different sales team and functionalities across offices and regions
  • Build and nurture a positive team culture, focusing on GetYourGuide’s guiding principles and acting as a role model for the company culture
  • Implement compensation, training, and sales incentive programs together with the Regional Director

Your toolkit

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or account management, including 3+ years in management roles
  • Strong operational leader with demonstrated success in driving growth, tangible results, and KPI improvements within the region
  • Fluent in English, Fluent in Mandarin and native in Cantonese
  • Experienced in working seamlessly with a diverse global team
  • Deep understanding of online marketplace dynamics
  • Strong destination and business culture knowledge of Greater China
  • Strong willingness to win despite all challenges, thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong track record in recruiting, onboarding, and developing top talent.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills with a strong win-win mentality and natural ability to build relationships
  • Data-driven, results-oriented, and accurate
  • International technical company, Travel industry experience & Personal network in tourism is a plus
