SAP Enterprise Architect – S/4HANA Transformation

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Enterprise Architect to lead the definition and execution of architecture scenarios for a large-scale SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation program.

This role is critical from day one, with full accountability for defining the end-to-end target architecture across the SAP core landscape and all surrounding satellite systems. The successful candidate will act as a hands-on, execution-oriented architecture leader, capable of proactively shaping architecture direction and driving decisions—rather than relying on prolonged alignment cycles or purely theoretical discussions.

The expectation is to design first and align second, working pragmatically with SAP, Microsoft, and internal stakeholders to validate and refine architectural decisions. This role requires a professional who can operate across business, application, data, and infrastructure layers, accelerating the program through clear, structured, and actionable architecture deliverables.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of SAP experience with deep expertise in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Proven experience in at least two full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation programs (large-scale, multi-country preferred).
• Strong experience defining end-to-end enterprise architecture including application, integration, data, and infrastructure layers.
• Deep expertise in integration patterns (APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures) and extensibility approaches (Clean Core, side-by-side, SAP BTP).
• Solid experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, including SAP on hyperscalers (Microsoft Azure preferred; Google Cloud a plus).
• Hands-on experience with RISE with SAP and non-RISE (self-managed) SAP deployments.
• Experience defining architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Strong collaboration experience with SAP, Microsoft, and system integrators.
• Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Define and document target architecture scenarios for SAP S/4HANA and satellite systems.
• Establish architecture principles, integration patterns, and data consumption models.
• Proactively lead architecture definition and accelerate decision-making.
• Design architecture across SAP core, integration, data platforms, and infrastructure.
• Evaluate RISE vs non-RISE deployment scenarios and define trade-offs.
• Collaborate with SAP and Microsoft to validate architecture proposals.
• Produce architecture diagrams, standards, and decision frameworks.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps across the architecture landscape.
• Support internal alignment, mentor teams, and strengthen architecture capabilities.
