ABOUT XCEPTOR
Data is at the heart of everything we do: Xceptor has been designed around data manipulation in its broadest sense. We source data from wherever it flows. We curate, normalise, validate, repair, and enrich that data so it reaches its destination in a reliable and consistent format. Data coming out of Xceptor is data our clients can trust.
We are recognised as an expert in the Financial Services vertical, which strongly aligns with Business Users in Middle and Back-Office teams. We enable these users to solve their data challenges by themselves, rather than through a technology-led project.
🚀 Your Role:
The Senior Instructional Designer – Curriculum & Learning Journeys is responsible for designing high-quality, structured learning experiences that enable Xceptor users to effectively adopt and succeed with the platform. The role focuses on translating complex platform capabilities into clear, engaging learning for clients and partners across diverse user audiences.
Combining strong instructional design capability with curriculum level thinking, the role designs coherent, role‑based learning journeys that support onboarding, enablement, and certification. This includes self‑paced digital learning, instructor‑led experiences (virtual and in‑person), and selected peer‑ or community‑based learning approaches that support learning through collaboration and shared practice.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Educational Services, the role works closely with product owners, subject matter experts, and cross functional stakeholders to ensure learning solutions are accurate, relevant, and aligned to product capabilities and learner needs. The role contributes to maintaining the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of Xceptor’s Education offering, supporting learner confidence, adoption, and long‑term client success.
This is an opportunity to:

- Identify gaps, overlaps, or inconsistencies within curricula and learning journeys and recommend improvements to enhance effectiveness, usability, and learner experience.
Learning Content Development
- Design, develop, and maintain high quality digital learning assets for Xceptor platform users, including modular eLearning, learning paths, how to videos, self-paced guides, and certification assessments, aligned to agreed roadmaps and priorities.
- Capture and synthesise source information from product documentation, SMEs, and delivery teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear, learner appropriate instructional content.
- Produce detailed design artefacts (e.g. learning architecture, storyboards, assessment blueprints) to guide development and ensure consistency across learning assets.
Standards, Quality & Governance
- Develop and maintain learning content in alignment with agreed instructional design, assessment, accessibility, and content standards, applying these consistently across all assigned deliverables.
- Coordinate reviews and sign off of learning assets with relevant stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment to agreed standards.
- Contribute to curriculum and content governance activities by preparing curriculum artefacts, quality reviews, and recommendations, and implementing agreed decisions and standards.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with product owners, subject matter experts, and implementation teams to define learning objectives, course structures, and assessment approaches that support effective platform adoption.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure learning assets align with Xceptor brand, tone, and messaging guidelines.
- Support internal teams and external partners with guidance on enablement approaches, curriculum structure, and use of existing learning assets where required.
Continuous Improvement
- Use learner feedback, assessment performance, and usage data to inform continuous improvement of learning assets and curricula.
