Senior Automations Engineer, Back Office

Information about the position 

 We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with a strong backend mindset to help us build a more efficient and integrated Back Office (current focus in finance, people, legal functions).

While the Marketplace teams focus on our members, the Back Office Automation team ensures our internal engines—Finance, People, Legal, and IT—are efficient, well integrated, and scalable.

We need someone who enjoys untangling complex problems, transforming manual workflows into scalable, automated systems that provide a seamless experience for various Back Office teams.

As part of a broader domain effort to modernize our internal systems, your work will directly reduce operational debt and toil across the company. You’ll join a friendly, high-trust team where how we build is just as important as what we build.

In this position, you’ll 

• Design End-to-End Flows: Architect scalable, reliable integrations between core systems like Workday, NetSuite, Jira and others.
• Write clean, purposeful code: Develop automations and scripts using a serverless architecture, ensuring they are maintainable and high-quality.
• Work with a diverse tech stack: Use Python and Go to develop APIs and deploy on our managed infrastructure.
• Own the Lifecycle: Manage the full CI/CD pipeline - from initial build and automated testing (Unit/Integration) to deployment and proactive monitoring.
• Champion Quality & Security: Implement least privilege access and data protection standards, ensuring our automations are as secure as they are efficient.
• Be a process partner: Collaborate directly with Finance, Legal, IT and People teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical reality.

About you 

• Backend Expertise: You have backend engineering skills, with experience in Python and/or Go being a significant advantage.
• Pragmatic and real: You think practically, choosing the best solutions, avoid over-engineering, and prioritize simplicity.
• Strategic Thinker: You effectively balance immediate needs with long-term stability in your decisions.
• Quality-Oriented: You advocate for clean code and testing strategies because you know they save time in the long run.

The salary range for this position is € 4,817 - € 6,517 gross per month.
