Senior Azure DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

For one of our large, enterprise-scale clients in a highly regulated domain, we’re looking for a Senior Kubernetes / Azure DevOps Engineer to strengthen a cloud foundations and platform engineering initiative.

This is a hands-on platform role at the core of the organization’s Azure landing zones, Kubernetes environments, and cloud infrastructure — focused on reliability, security, automation, and operational excellence.

What you’ll do

• Operate, maintain, and upgrade production Kubernetes clusters (AKS / EKS or similar)
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues across networking, workloads, scaling, and cluster ops
• Manage and remediate CVEs in container images and dependencies
• Rebuild and redeploy images as part of platform maintenance and security improvements
• Improve and maintain CI/CD workflows supporting Kubernetes workloads (GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc.)
• Automate compliance, security, and governance checks across clusters and pipelines
• Support development teams by aligning platform updates with application requirements
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code standards (Helm, Kustomize, Terraform)
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Collaborate closely with platform, cloud, and security teams

What we’re looking for

• Senior-level experience in platform engineering / DevOps
• Strong background in Azure and enterprise-scale Azure landing zones / cloud foundations
• 3+ years operating Kubernetes in production (AKS, EKS, or comparable)
• Strong troubleshooting skills (Kubernetes internals + infra + networking basics)
• Experience in large enterprises and/or regulated environments
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-first mindset
• Fluent in English + EU residency (no sponsorship)

Tooling (must understand and use in practice): Kubernetes, Azure, Docker/BuildKit, CI/CD (GitLab CI / ArgoCD / Jenkins), Helm/Kustomize/Terraform, Prometheus/Grafana, scripting (Bash/Python/Go)

Nice to have: CKA/CKAD, Kubernetes security (Network Policies / Pod Security), service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), Databricks infra exposure, multi-cloud experience.
