Senior Business Analyst

🚀 Your Role:

We are seeking a strong Business Analyst, ideally with some previous experience of working with technical teams, to work across multiple projects delivering repeatable solutions using our innovative and industry-leading products.  

Reporting to the Head of Solutions, you will be working on one large project or several projects simultaneously depending on type and complexity. You’ll gather requirements by liaising with internal SMEs and/or client business teams to produce the right specification to enable our Solution Engineers to configure our product to meet the needs of our clients.  

You’ll interact with a variety of people internally and externally including Solution Engineers, Product, Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, Clients and Sales.  

🧩 What You’ll Be Doing:

• • Gathering requirements from SMEs and/or clients, liaising with internal teams, facilitating workshops, and demos, through conference calls, face-to-face or via email. 
  • Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of requirements, effective translation into user stories and acceptance criteria definition. 
  • Assist in the refinement of user stories and any clarification needs with Solutions tribe. 
  • Ensure that features and stories deliver maximum value and capture client requirements. 
  • Topically will be involved in producing test cases, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing and other aspects of the project delivery. 
  • Be able to cover for the Product Manager where needed and explain key decision and prioritization calls. 
  • Work closely with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Solutions Engineers, Software Engineers, and client to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI. 
  • Actively develop Business Analysis skills and adopt best practices. 
  • Able to demonstrate our core products to clients from a business user perspective. Training will be provided on the Xceptor Products. 
  • Always maintain a high standard of service using strong relationship management and influencing skills. 
  • Raise functional enhancements to Product Management. 

🎯 Who we're looking for:

• To be considered for the role, we are looking for:  

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner carrying out Business Analyst activities, within the financial industry. 
  • The ability to facilitate face-to-face workshops, storyboard and lead effective solution-scoping exercises with clients and internal stakeholders. 
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders. 
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology, experience in writing and managing user stories and acceptance criteria. 
  • Flexibility with working hours to meet peak demands or work with global stakeholders in other time zones if needed. 

  In addition, one or more of the following would be beneficial:  

  • Degree/MA/Academic qualification in Computer Science or Engineering.  
  • Technical skills such as XML, SQL, or software development experience such as .NET or Java.  
  • Knowledge of databases.  
  • Experience using Azure DevOps software or equivalent.

  • Interest in working on internal initiatives outside the mainstream projects as required by the business and agreed upon by line management.
